“We commenced our eighteenth year having developped into a successful dance metropolis, offering 65 classes per week, in North Fremantle and Mosman Park venues.
Dance classes include “creative” dance for toddlers, classical ballet, jazz/hip-hop, tap, contemporary, acro and stretch classes.

Gabrielle Cronan founded Dance Central in 1993.
Gabrielle’s career in dance began as a passion from early childhood. Through determination, dedication and encouragement from family and peers, she has enjoyed a successful career in dance.
As a teenager Gabrielle won the prestigious “Quest 78″ produced by the ABC television series and also won dancer of the year on “Young Talent Time”, Channel 10 television series.
Gabrielle trained at the Victorian College of the Arts before being recruited for the WA Ballet Company as a dancer working with many great international choreographers and performing nationally. After dancing Gabrielle stayed with the WA Ballet Company as Touring Wardrobe Mistress. Professional appointments with The Royal Shakespeare Company London, Scottish Ballet Company, Marcelle Marceau, WA Opera Company, and the Playhouse Theatre have enhanced Gabrielle’s experience within the industry.
Further dance studies in Flamenco were completed under The Masters at Amor de Dios, Madrid, Spain (1996).
Gabrielle was a National Recipient of the Australian Institute of Classical Dance annual Teachers’ Scholarship with The Australian Ballet School in 2003.
Gabrielle has been engaged as Secretary on the National Board of The Australian Institute of Classical Dance (AICD), the Western Australian representative for AICD, and the Western Australian Representative for the Borovansky Classical Ballet Syllabus.
Gabrielle employs highly qualified staff who have the integrity and professional attitude required to provide a caring and supportive educational environment for dance studies.

Rebecca Sneddon was born in Fremantle, Western Australia and begun her dance training at Dance Central at age 4. Rebecca trained at Dance Central in Jazz-Hip Hop, Tap and Ballet, and undertook several Ballet exams within the Borovansky syllabus. At age 12, Rebecca was accepted into the specialist Ballet program at John Curtin College of the Arts where she trained in Ballet, Contemporary and Spanish. She represented the school in the Eastern States, performed in many Musicals and countless dance performances. Rebecca graduated from the specialist ballet course in 2008 with a Distinction for her Ballet studies, a Certificate of Excellence for her academic studies and was awarded “most respected student”, in her graduating class. Whilst studying at John Curtin, Rebecca also represented Dance Central in the Senior Performance Group for many years and competed in many state-wide competitions. Rebecca begun her training as a teacher in 2006 under Gabrielle Cronan; founder and Principle of Dance Central. Rebecca currently teaches and choreographs for Creative Dance, Jazz-Hip Hop and Contemporary classes at Dance Central. In 2011 Rebecca begun a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts Management at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

Rachel Perica was born in Perth Western Australia. After completing a Certificate II in dance at WAPPA she was accepted into the Victorian College of the Arts (University of Melbourne) where she successfully completed a Bachelor of Dance. During this time Rachel gained extensive training in both Ballet and Contemporary and worked with renowned choreographers including; Sue Healey, Stephanie Lake, Philip Adams, Carlee Mellow, Rebecca Hilton, Don Aska and Dianne Reid. In 2009 she performed in Dance House’s ‘Open Season’ program in ‘Without Pretense’, and in 2007, performed in ‘Leaving the Left’ as part of John Cage’s Musicircs in the Melbourne International Arts Festival. During 2007 Rachel was also represented by a NSW based dance agency where she gained commercial and corporate performance jobs.
In 2010 Rachel completed further studies at WAAPA, graduating with Honors in a Bachelor of Arts majoring in dance. The degree was associated with LINK Dance Company. As a company member of LINK Rachel was apart of the creation of six brand new contemporary works. National Choreographers included; Michael Whaites, Antony Hamilton, Deborah Robertson, Cass Mortimer Eipper and International Choreographers Fabien Prioville (Pina Bausch and Lalala Human Steps) and Directors Joseba Lazkano Lizundia and Fernando G Montoya (The Bai Theatre School in Bilbao, Spain).
These works were toured both nationally and internationally; as apart of LINK’s European tour in the ACT Festival, and ReACT Festival in Spain and also featuring at the World Dance Alliance conference in New York. Whilst on tour, Rachel took company classes in London, attended summer intensive workshops with Dance New Amsterdam and Peri Dance in New York.
During her time as a 2010 LINK dance company member, Rachel wrote her Honors thesis entitled “The Dancing Imagination” which has been published for the Edith Cowan Library. Currently Rachel is undergoing a Certificate IV in Pilates Matwork Instruction at the Pilates Fitness Institute of WA.

Elyse Anderson has been a part of the Dance and Music Central staff for 5 years teaching Ballet, Jazz/Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Tap. Elyse began dancing at the age of three, at her family owned dance school located just outside of Vancouver, Canada. She is fully trained in Cecchetti Ballet, Jazz, AIDT Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, CDTA Acrobats, and Hip Hop.
She was trained in tap and jazz by world champion Lacey Boyd, as well as various choreographers who have worked with Michael and Janet Jackson, Brittney spears, and Missy Elliot. Elyse has been a competitive dancer since the age of ten. She was also invited to dance with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra on various occasions. In both 2003 and 2004 Elyse was the recipient of the top Cecchetti Ballet Award for her age category in British Coloumbia, Canada.
Elyse moved to Perth in December of 2005 and has continued to increase her dance knowledge by attending workshops and holiday programs at Australian dance companies such as Brent Street in Sydney, and Dance World in Melbourne. Elyse holds a Private Pilots licence and is currently working towards a Commercial Pilots Licence while studying at ECU.

Emma studied ballet with Marie Walton-Mahon (Newcastle) and completed fulltime dance studies with David Atkins at Dynamite Dance Studios (Sydney) 1993. Emma has 15 years experience in choreographing and teaching many styles of dance, including ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, modern and tap. She has choreographed musicals including Jesus Christ Superstar and 42nd Street and her routines have won first place in numerous competitions including City of Sydney Eisteddfod and won best choreography award, Rock Eisteddfod NSW 1994 & 1995.
Professional performances include music video clips, award nights, Sheraton Sydney Gala performance, ‘Elvis Comeback Tour’ Japan 1998, Bridal show 1999 – 2000, and numerous fashion shows for companies including Rip Curl, Hound Dog, Mossimo, SportsGirl.
Emma has worked in numerous private schools on the east coast developing dance programs for high school age students and completed her Bachelor of Education (Primary) at Murdoch University 2008.

Angelyne has been privileged to attend workshops with some of the best Hip Hop dancers from LA, NY and Australia. Including Tre Armstrong (LA), Michael Schwandt (LA), Roger Lee (USA), Patrick Chen(USA), Rachel Yao (Kylie Minogue Dancer) and S.Y.T.Y.C.D Joel De Carteret. By continuing to be inspired by such artists, Angelyne’s dancing style remains funky fresh, and cutting edge.
C.S.T.D., B.B.D. trained. Dance history includes 1995-97 Assistant Teacher in Okinawa Japan for Sharleen Stoddart School of Dance. 1999 Recipient ‘Dux of Dance’ Melville SHS. Angelyne has taught at numerous highschools and dance schools including Betty Bently, Dance Workshop, The Studio, Bustagroove Dance, Melville SHS, St Hildas Anglican School, Scotch College. Resident Dancer/Character Performer at Connections Night Club 2006. Choreographer for LaFemme Boudoir, shows @ Metros City, StyleAid, Bullion, Connections, The Court. Teaches Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap.

Julie Moore has been teaching dance for the over 10 years, and a part of the Dance & Music Central team for the past 5 years.
Trained in ISTD Tap & Modern and RAD Ballet, Julie has worked as a freelance dancer, choreographer and teacher. Working for Perth’s most prestigious dance studios, Julie has taught classes is ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop & creative dance. Her students have been very successful in both state & national dance competitions.
Prior to teaching Julie won numerous awards for dance exams & competitions. Julie successfully auditioned and danced with STEPS Youth Dance Company and also medalled in State& National Aerobics Championships. Julie has performed on both the stage & T.V. with the children’s group The LuLu’s and has choreographed routines for the Margaret River Show, Leeuwin Estate and various festivals around Perth.
Trained and completed Southern Federation of Dance Teachers Certificate. Currently enroled in Early Childhood and Primary Teaching at Edith Cowan University. Four years of full time dance specialist with early childhood developement. Professional appointments include working with the wiggles as Henry the Octopus, choreographer of Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland and various childrens performance groups.

Rosanne Sands is from Perth,Western Australia. She has been a member of the Dance Central staff since October 2007 teaching Ballet and Jazz/Hip Hop. She began dancing ballet at the age of four.
She has trained under Madam Gundi Ferris, lead dancer of the West Australian Ballet Company for its first season at His Majesty’s Theatre; Kathy Kalazich, Principal and founder of EDA Dance; and Gabrielle Cronan, Former West Australian Ballet Company dancer and Principal and founder of Dance Central.
Rosanne has further trained in tap, lyrical, contemporary and song and dance and has received placements in state competitions. She is fully trained in Borovansky and has completed all syllabus exams from Primary to Solo Seal. Rosanne is also certified in Fundamental Movement Skills.
Rosanne has completed a Bachelor of Primary Education at the University of Notre Dame which has included tertiary units in dance, drama, visual art and music. She adheres to a whole person approach toward students and has a strong focus on scaffolding learning.
She is currently working towards completing a Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Entry) at the University of Notre Dame.
